"In a sleepy midwestern town... A horrifying evil is about to rise again!"
Something horrifying is happening in a small town. One night, all the children suddenly develop a fever and terrifying convulsions. The next day they change their names to those of children who were murdered long ago. The first adult is killed. And another one. And another one. An attractive student tries to figure out what's going on. Then her youngest sister also starts to act scary and the kids are busy organizing something.

Because of my boyfriend's 'Naomie' I went to see this one 
But it wasn't too bad for me, I hadn't seen the other parts yet so it just suddenly fell through.
But the story is fun, and it was also a little exciting at times.
Acting was okay, but I think it's also difficult with all those kids.
But Naomie did a good job, and the girl who played the leading role was a real sweetheart!

After the fun third part it goes downhill again.
It's striking to see Watts appear in a film like this, but that's more so with actors/actors who only rose to stardom after a while.
Furthermore, she is not noticeable in this film, the series also leans more towards the "noise/swoosh" scare stuff. In itself it's not too bad, but I didn't really think it was that great.

And we are back to square one.
The third Children of the Corn - with a nice monster and a lot of fun pulp - was a highlight in a not very good series. But with part 4 we are back to the old level of an interchangeable, saltless horror. Probably the most memorable aspect of the film is Naomi Watts' starring role. Post Tank Girl, but for Mulholland Drive. She is clearly not the worst actor present, but you don't really see the actress who would later receive two Oscar nominations in this either. But that is also difficult with such a script. Children of the Corn 4 throws the plot surrounding He Who Walks Behind the Rows overboard, but continues to focus on the evil children. The film takes itself far too seriously and focuses mainly on Naomi Watts trying to find out why all the kids are sick. This comes with a lot of nightmares; culminating in a nightmare within a nightmare. When the main character wakes up for the umpteenth time from a dream with a jump scare, we as viewers slowly fall asleep.
