After just seeing The Naked Gun on TV, I was pretty much in the nonsense flow and this movie falls into that category, especially in the beginning. Slightly less sharp in the humor and in the editing and events, but certainly weird and regularly funny. Later on it all gets a bit more serious and it weakens somewhat in terms of intensity. I find acting convincing, but in a more or less absurd setting. I like that, so it's a great movie for me. Also count on gore with blood, guts etc.

Weird video, but nothing stands out. also feels dated. only thing i liked was the over the top performance of russel crowe. the story is predictable and denzel is certainly not that strong here but all in all it is entertainment

What makes Virtuosity so unique is the casting. Director Brett Leonard was shocked when Denzel Washington agreed to play the lead role. And actually he didn't feel like it, but apparently did this to please his son. After this, the then-noble unknown Russell Crowe also joined the cast, which means that this B-movie now has two superstars on the bill. This makes Virtuosity easy to watch, but the story is too far-fetched to take seriously. Years later, Washington and Crowe team up again in Ridley Scott's much better "American Gangster."
