Meh, unfortunately Sinister 2 has not become the desired successor to the original. It's always a shame when the original cast doesn't return, but it doesn't have to be a big deal. In this case, however, the acting has plummeted dramatically from the first part. The tension is also a lot less present, actually almost not. The film has to be purely about the few jumpscares, which are also successful in themselves, but that's about it. Missed opportunity!

Less good than part 1, as is often the case. The cast is new apart from the sheriff deputy from part 1. I especially found it a lot less scary as part 1. Few jumpscares where part 1 excelled at. Also made more time for a romance. Not bad per se, but I thought the ending was a bit weak. Couldn't they think of anything better than hanging them on the cross and setting them on fire Bughuul is nowhere threatening like in part 1. The mystery is gone now, which is a shame.
