Dennis [Billy Kennedy] is the star player on the Elm Forest school team, but feels like an outsider. Thanks to a magazine and his friendship with 'the coolest girl in school' Lisa [Temi Orelaja] he discovers how much he enjoys wearing a dress. This does not go down well with his father [Steve Speirs] and the headmaster [Tim McInnerny]. Predictable, but also taboo-breaking and heart-warming family film with a great cast and amusing cameos by model Kate Moss and ex-top footballer Gary Lineker. Film adaptation of the book of the same name by David Walliams (Little Britain) who himself appears as the referee of the somewhat clumsily directed cup final.
