De film na decennia nog eens bekeken, het verhaal is nu eenmaal dun. Een demonische Samara doet via een videoband haar verhaal en wraak neemt.
De horror thriller is nog steeds tijdloos. Vooral de sfeer in de movie is sterk, met vooral de muziek van de net ontdekte Hans Zimmer door Gore Verbinski. Ik vind het een pareltje.
