Hell On Wheels tells the story of America just after the Civil War, in 1865, when Private Cullen (Anson Mount) is determined to take revenge on the soldiers who killed his wife. His journey takes him to Hell On Wheels, a dangerous, rough, lawless city that travels along with the construction of the first-ever transcontinental railroad.
