I totally agree with that Spike. Been looking forward to the show recently and am still homesick for the town. Suddenly I see the actors everywhere. In GOT Ian McShane showed up and in the 1st episode of Preacher I recognized 'Dan' who played the part of a police officer (or sheriff?). It was that I recognized his voice because without that long hair he looked completely different. The series is of course a bit older...

First-rate HBO series about the outlaw settlement of Deadwood, where an array of very diverse characters settle in search of happiness and fortune. Sporadically a bit on the slow side and all in all not much happens, but what beautiful characters and what great, often very bawdy, dialogues. Ian McShane puts down one of the most memorable bad guys ever here, in my opinion. The rest of the cast is also impressive. In terms of structure and quality, this is clearly the precursor to HBO's Game Of Thrones, a series that has clearly benefited from Deadwood's success.

Not to get through. How is it possible that people give such high marks. I stopped around episode SE7. Slow, clichés, dull dialogues, uninteresting characters, a lot of name-calling.

I also flushed parts. The whole series did nothing for me.
