Band of Brothers is a ten-part television series from 2001 about the last months of the Second World War. Co-produced by Steven Spielberg and Tom Hanks, it depicts the role of the Easy Company of the 506th Parachute Infantry Regiment, US 101st Airborne Division in the war. The series begins with training in America prior to the Normandy landings and ends in Adolf Hitler's "Eagle's Nest" at the end of the war. Band of Brothers is based on Stephen Ambrose's book of the same name.
