I actually found the second season slightly better than the first. There were a few things that bothered me in the first season, which I didn't experience in season 2. A strong season, but I felt the tension in season 1 was a bit higher. Now I'm waiting for season 3.

Great series, exciting and lots of action. Not a single moment of boredom.

After the amazing first season, with a number of segments that were un-Dutchly good, season 2 also has a strong start. But towards the end of this season, the creators do make some far-fetched detours to the left and right.
The story is becoming increasingly broad, and our likeable but simple detective is suddenly acting like some kind of James Bond or Jason Bourne. I have no idea how you are supposed to satisfactorily conclude the story in this series.
We have seen many scenes in foreign productions before, but that doesn't make it any less fun to recreate it in the Dutch way. Bobby Boermans has made a lot of great stuff in recent years, and I am always quite forgiving towards him.
A nice touch is that every character on screen can die at any moment. You won't find Boermans investing a long time in a bond between viewer and character – if it is necessary to underscore how evil a villain is, anyone who happens to be walking around on the set can get a bullet in the head.
All in all, I was entertained again, but the freshness has worn off a bit.
3.5 stars
PS
What I find worst is that Boermans attributes the role of "showrunner" to himself in the opening credits.
I find that an annoying term. You didn't have that role in the past either. Back then, you just had director, producer, etc.
