Marie Fängt Feuer plot

Marie is Max's single mother. Stefan is a widower with a son named Daniel. Marie and Stefan want to get married, but Daniel doesn't like it. On the eve of the wedding, he and Max break into the barn where the wedding will take place and set fire to it. Marie's father Ernst, the fire chief, rescues the two from the burning barn. Daniel will not admit his crime and Max will not betray his friend. Stefan, of course, stands behind his son and puts his relationship with Marie to the test. In addition, the Wildegg volunteer fire department has a problem finding new recruits. Ernst wants to give Stefan the position of commander, but the neighboring municipality wants to take over the fire service. Marie therefore decides to join the fire brigade with her best friend Angie.
