The American Barbecue Showdown plot

The nation's top eight home-and-kitchen barbecuers and professional barbecuers compete to become America's barbecue champions in a fanatical yet friendly competition. The participants must overcome daunting tasks that test their barbecue skills. In addition, they need to be versatile, as they tackle everything from unique cuts of meat to proven cooking methods with which they try to impress the judges.
