Jailbirds (2019)

There are many prison documentaries and series, but this one is very entertaining. It's the first series I've watched in one evening/night. Apart from the miserable situation in which the women find themselves, you can laugh with them at their statements and apparently pointless quarrels.

Usually similar TV is about how an inmate talks about his/her crime, or how the guards keep everything in line. That is also discussed here, but you will now learn more about mutual friendships and relationships. I watched with astonishment the conversations through the toilet between the ladies and gentlemen from different floors. Real relationships arise and there is even cheating. I had to laugh when Katrina furiously tore up her letters from Dolla after he talked to another woman because she had been transferred.

Some prisoners are actually victims of their upbringing or environment. To end up in such an environment that is in stark contrast to the freedom that we have as viewers.. That makes you think. When Bianca and Brianna get married, they can't even kiss each other after the yes. It may be right, but I still felt sorry for them.
