The 80s continue to appeal to the imagination: they were the years of synthpop, pop in your native language, stadium rock and superstars such as Madonna, Michael Jackson and Prince. It is also the decade in which hip-hop becomes big. Leo Blokhuis dives deep into the pop music of this time for six weeks in a row. There are reports, 'vintage clips' and 'petites histoires', in which he disposes of the richly filled image archives of the Top 2000 and the 'Nacht van de Popmuziek'.
