Detention plot
Detention begins in the 1990s at Greenwood High School. Yunxiang Liu, an exchange student, accidentally enters the restricted area on campus, where she encounters the ghost of Ruixin Fang. Fang uncovers the hidden history and trauma of the past 30 years, and how a group of young students and teachers were persecuted as they fought for freedom in the age of censorship. Their stories keep coming back to the school as terrifying nightmares, waiting to be told and revealed.
