American Gods plot
"Shadow" is an ex-con who was recently released. He struggles to come to terms with the tragic death of his wife. As he flies home, he sits next to a mysterious man who introduces himself as "Wednesday." It soon becomes apparent that the man is in reality the Norse God Odin. "Shadow" decides to become "Wednesday's" bodyguard. Now he finds himself in a world that he has trouble understanding. It's a world where magic is real. Where the old gods lose ground to new gods, who stand for money, drugs, technology and media.

Still expected something more and especially hoped, since the book of the same name by Neil Gaiman is very good. The series certainly has strengths; visually it is all very nicely put together and there is nothing wrong with the casting. Still, things don't go well, with too many characters and plot lines, making it difficult to get a grip on the whole. Hopefully season two gets better.
