Eleven-year-old Imani faces an exciting challenge: she's going to observe Ramadan for the first time. While learning about fasting, she becomes entangled in a mystery that threatens her grandfather's family bakery. Imani's grandfather's bakery is famous for its delicious date cookies, but someone seems to want to steal the secret recipe or sabotage the operation.
