Sequel to Into the Night. Only this time a submarine instead of a plane. A submarine can make the vastness of scary space exciting.
It is the first Turkish-spoken series I have seen. It is perfectly watchable, although it takes some getting used to.
The premise that a solar flare eruption destroys life on Earth is impossible. The Earth's atmosphere protects us from the deadly radiation. But that is why the series was labeled Sci-Fi. A rather weak veneer for some minor disasters, conflicts, romantic entanglements, and the like in and around the submarine.
Exciting every now and then. Fortunately, because otherwise you’d doze off.
The macho actor (Kıvanç Tatlıtuğ) solves all problems. He is a superman. A marine biologist who builds submarines, a diplomatic negotiator, and above all, remains cool in all situations. Moreover, he even wins over his ex for the romantic dessert. The ideal son-in-law.
The scientists are of a questionable standard. Naturally, everything is bound to go wrong. So, not surprising.
The submarine crew displays few military skills. Unbelievable.
Even though almost every episode is a repetition of the same old thing, you want to know where it leads. It's watchable for those few episodes.
There will be no sequel series. As usual, they have pulled the plug.
