There is little that compares to a Scandinavian crime series or film. This first season of Wallander proves this once again. 13 standalone crimes, occasionally even exciting and quite violent. The common thread through the episodes are the mutual relationships: for example, between Wallander and his daughter Linda, who also works for the same service, and between Linda and Stefan, a fellow detective. Excellent plots, well acted, especially the role of Wallander himself, beautiful pictures of the environment and well-constructed action scenes.

Excellent first season of this Wallander series with Krister Henrikson (strange that his name is not with the main characters).
for those who did not know, there are 3 types of Wallander series, the 1st dates from the 90s from Sweden with Rolf Larsggard (den damn) then there is this one, also from Sweden and then of course there is the British version with Kenneth Branagh which is another remake of the 90s series.
