Steve Mertens and Birgit Baukens decide to share a house - in district 8, number 17. To cover the rent, they take three more accommodations: Birgit's ex-boyfriend Tom Derijcke, party animal Zoë Zonderland and the angry computer nerd Akke Impens. Supplemented by their landlord's hyperactive daughter Jasmijn de Ridder, they quickly form a crazy but close-knit group of friends.
