Totems plot
This series is set in 1965, in the middle of the Cold War. We follow a French scientist, Francis Mareuil, who starts working as an aspiring spy. While working for the French secret service and the CIA, Mareuil meets the Russian Lyudmila Golubeva. She is a pianist who is forced to work for the KGB. A romance blossoms between them. However, none of them can be sure of what their true feelings are for each other, and what the political consequences will be from them. Given their lives as spies, is this love between them really so pure?
