The Widow plot
Georgia Wells' life is turned upside down in the middle of the night after a phone call. Her husband Will, whom she has been with for more than a decade, has been killed in a plane crash in the Congolese jungle. Three years later, with her old life a thing of the past, Georgia discovers something shocking. Something that will take her to Kinshasa in the Democratic Republic of Congo in search of the truth about his disappearance. Still haunted by the past, Georgia grieves for the man she loves and the life they've lost, but she hasn't given up hope yet.

I am not a fan of Beckinsale. Apart from that, this is quite a good series with a fascinating story and some intense moments where the ending was predictable (for example around the general, Judith and Adidja). With some familiar faces such as Charles Dance and the blind Ariel, the latter known from several Icelandic crime series such as [url=https://www.moviemeter.nl/series/show/1042]Ófærð; (2015 - 2021)[/url ].
