The West Wing plot

When Democrat Josiah "Jed" Bartlet is elected president of the United States, he assembles an administration team that will support him during his presidency. He appoints people he has been able to rely on during his campaign: Leo McGarry is the chief of staff, assisted by Josh Lyman, Toby Ziegler is the head of the 'communications' department, in turn assisted by Sam Seaborn (and later Will Bailey ) and CJ Cregg serves as press secretary. In addition, he can always rely on his personal assistant Charlie Young and his wife Abigail holds a special place in his work and private life, spending most of his time in and around the west wing of the White House.
