The Slap plot

At a suburban barbecue, a close-knit group of friends celebrate Hector's 40th birthday. Food and wine flow as guests enjoy a long, lazy lunch. It all goes well until four-year-old Hugo turns for an at bat and is promptly played out. Suddenly, the game escalates into a fight, with Harry punching Hugo. It ends in a lawsuit. The story unfolds through the different points of view of eight characters.
