London, 1956. The BBC launches the news show 'The Hour'. The success formula of this new program consists of three very different journalists. The mysterious producer Bel Rowley is a driven woman in a man's world. Her best friend Freddie Lyon is a brilliant and passionate reporter. And Hector Madden is a charming, well-connected presenter. After Freddie sinks his teeth into an interesting yet controversial story, the trio fall prey to an unprecedented storm of politics, ambition, love and even murder...
