In the 13-part series, the viewer follows high-class escort Christine Read, convincingly played by model and actress Riley Keough, the eldest granddaughter of Elvis and Priscilla Presley.

Christine is lonely, inscrutable, and above all, ambitious. While she nonchalantly and with little pleasure works her way through unimaginative sex dates, she interns at a prestigious law firm and studies law. A luxurious future seems within reach, but the road to it proves to be anything but simple. How does Christine gain control of her future?

Based on Steven Soderbergh's film of the same name, The Girlfriend Experience skillfully weaves together erotica, psychology, suspense, and office drama. Strong plot twists, a lively script, and Keough's convincing, Golden Globe-nominated performance make the series one of the better office dramas of recent years.
