Great visual spectacle with very good actors. A kind of American version of Dowton Abbey.

Although this is also from the pen of Julian Fellows, the storylines are slightly less compared to Downton Abbey. The same goes for the overall production. Nevertheless, I certainly enjoyed this and the period and place are also interesting.

Wonderful series from the makers of Downton Abbey, set in New York in 1880, when the US was experiencing an immense economic boom. The colorful characters and the great dialogues make this a small party, alternately compelling and dryly comical. In terms of atmosphere and plot lines, the series sporadically resembles Downton Abbey, but can certainly measure up to that for the time being. Fans of that series can in any case immediately bite.
