The First plot
The Vista company has finally succeeded: setting up a manned mission to Mars. Yet, even in the final stage, this appears to have more than enough snags. The mission's intent is interplanetary colonization, but problems soon arise. When the machine to drive around on Mars, the Mars Ascent Vehicle (MAV), breaks down, the team faces a lot of problems. In addition, everyone involved also has the necessary personal problems that they have to deal with.

A bit of a strange mix of science fiction and drama, slow but entertaining and mostly fascinating. It's also nice to see Sean Penn in a television series. He does a great job, as does the rest of the cast. Visually very well put together. The emphasis is clearly on the characters, not the SF aspects, which will put a damper on many viewers. I could do something with it, especially given the strongly developed characters and the beautiful dialogues.
