The Blame plot

The series begins with the discovery of the body of figure skater Sophie Madsen, an event that shakes the community of Wakestead to its core. As detectives Crane and Radley delve deeper into the case, what began as a tragic death degenerates into a tangle of lies, cover-ups, and moral compromises.

The story is well-structured, which increases my score. However, I find the execution somewhat lacking. The predictable cliffhanger is also a shame; unnecessary. This series leads you to various potential perpetrators, where it is naturally supposed to be a surprise who the real killer is. In that regard, there is an interesting plot twist towards the end. The warning beforehand about the group chat within the police station is noteworthy: the texts in it come from real police officers. The cast is decent. The whole thing isn't too long, and thanks to the occasional tense moments, this series is never boring.
