Tales of the City plot
The story follows Mary Ann, who returns to her home in San Francisco. There, she reunites with her daughter Shawna and ex-husband Brian, twenty years after she left them to continue her career. Fleeing the midlife crisis that created her perfect life in Connecticut, Mary Ann returns to her chosen family and is quickly drawn back into the world of landlady Anna Madrigal and the other residents of 28 Barbara Lane.
