Surviving Summer plot

Wild Summer Torres, a rebellious teenager from Brooklyn, New York, is expelled from school and "banished to Australia": she is sent there to live with family friends in the initially drab, small town of Shorehaven on Victoria's Great Ocean Road. . Despite her rebellious efforts, Summer falls in love with the city, the people and the surf, and tries to settle there. Then she meets the young surfer Ari, who is recovering from a serious injury but wants to compete again. Then Summer causes quite a stir in Ari's circle of friends.
