Slutet på Sommaren plot
The series begins on a summer evening when a five-year-old boy disappears without a trace. However, the police investigation fails to solve the disappearance, leaving behind rumors, suspicions, and a grieving family. Twenty years later, the boy’s older sister, Vera, leads a group therapy session in Stockholm when a young man details his childhood memory of her brother’s disappearance. A shocked Vera travels back to her broken family to discover once and for all what really happened on that fateful summer evening.

A reasonable series with a well-constructed story. I find the characters that are portrayed to be a problem. They are predominantly a bunch of stiff-necked people with the main character (Vera) being a rather weak character; probably intended to set the mood for this series. The whole thing gives a somewhat depressing impression. The final denouement is not surprising. The cast includes a number of actors known from the somewhat better Swedish crime series. In this Slutet på Sommaren they get into the characters "Ruud" and "Lars" among others, who unfortunately do not really come into their own here.
