Ride with the Devil plot

Lin is a young Chinese man who has just arrived in New Zealand from Beijing, where he is under the strict supervision of his aunt. Lin meets Kurt, a native of Auckland who has served time in prison. He repairs and "tweaks" fast cars for street racing. Initially, Kurt sees Lin as a dimwitted Chinese man with a credit card, but the two gradually get along better.
