Reyka plot
Reyka Gama is a South Africa expert criminal profiler. In 1994 she was kidnapped as a child, from which she is still traumatized, but gives her profound insights into deviant minds for London's Scotland Yard. Now a mother herself, she returns to her hometown in KwaZulu-Natal province to investigate a series of brutal murders committed by a serial killer in the sugar cane fields of KwaZulu-Natal.

In itself an excellent series with two main storylines: first the serial killer and second the life story and personal drama of Reyka, with the latter predominating. Most episodes start with flashbacks about this. Unfortunately, the whole thing is interspersed with stupid actions, which slightly lowers my rating. There is a third, somewhat smaller, storyline in which a landowner and a land deal are the subjects. I had no experience with South African productions until now; this one certainly wasn't disappointing.
