Ráðherrann plot
Benedikt Ríkardsson blows a new wind through Icelandic politics. In the election campaign, he is calling on Icelanders to vote en masse - he will only accept his winnings if 90% of the population goes to the polls. His radical political views bring Ríkardsson the support of the Icelandic people. The political establishment is blown away. Benedikt becomes Independent Party leader and Iceland's Prime Minister. What the nation doesn't know, however, is that Benedikt suffers from bipolar disorder. By hiding or misusing the disorder from the outside world, ministers and supporters endanger the stability of the government and their private lives.
