Profit plot
Jim Profit works for a multinational corporation and uses all the means necessary to move up the ranks, including bribery, blackmail, intimidation, extortion and even murder. No one in the company, including President Charles Gracen, is aware of his dark side. Gracen actually sees him as a golden boy. Joanne Meltzer, the company's security officer, sees something sinister in him. When her boss, Jack Walters, is looking for some irregularities within the company, he asks Joanne to look into it. The person she questions about this tells her that Profit is responsible. When Profit hears about this, he convinces this person to change his story. Joanne knows that Profit is wrong and tries to gather evidence against him. On the other hand, Profit tries to find a way to take out her and anyone who might believe her.
