Out There plot
Farmer and widower Nathan Williams wants his son Johnny to take over the family business one day, but at the same time shady characters try to involve Johnny in local drug trafficking. The village where father and son live falls prey to criminals who realize that they have much less trouble with the police in the countryside than in the big city.

Welsh rural drama about farmer Nathan (Martin Clunes - Manhunt), who discovers that his son is slowly getting involved in drugs. The six-part Out There was written by Ed Whitmore and Marc Evans, who previously worked together on The Steeltown Murders and Manhunt. Out There addresses a current theme, but cannot avoid walking many well-trodden paths. Clunes is completely convincing, the finale not at all. Solid British craftsmanship just prevents Out There from sinking into the cesspool.
