Oussekine plot

Drama miniseries looking back on the events on the night of December 5-6, 1986, which led to the death of Malik Oussekine, a French-Algerian student who took part in the mass student protests in Paris against proposed university reforms and restrictions on immigration. Oussekine was chased and beaten to death on the spot by the police. The ensuing battle for justice that Oussekine's relatives waged after his death is also highlighted, as well as how French society in the eighties changed forever as a result of this incident. Oussekine's death only intensified the protests, and with success: the proposed bills were scrapped two days later.
