NYPD Blue follows the work of the New York Police Department's Fifteenth District. Two partners, detectives Andy Sipowicz and John Kelley, take center stage and view their difficult job very differently. Sipowicz's sullenness (hiding his emotional vulnerability) is tempered by his partner's calm and correct demeanor.
