Mellem Os plot
In everyday life it is easy to lose sight of love. We meet two couples for the first time at a wedding. Merete and Joachim, married for twelve years, have just moved to Copenhagen and are ready for a new chapter in their lives. Merete founds a start-up with her best friend Nanna. Nanna has been with her boyfriend Kasper for three years. They want to start a family, a big step for Nanna who was always single. Both couples seem very much in love, but that is about to change…

Danish/Norwegian co-production about two couples, told from four perspectives. This is a top production in all respects: a fascinating and recognizable scenario, excellent actors and that wonderful Scandinavian atmosphere that we know from Bonusfamiljen. While there are plenty of recognizable points from both series (the psychologists, the relationship problems, the desire to have children), Bonusfamiljen is more between drama and comedy, while Between Us is really drama through and through. With a dark edge here and there. All the characters remain sympathetic despite their sometimes unsympathetic or selfish behavior. This keeps the series fresh and airy. This calls for more seasons. Fremragende!
