Masters of Sex plot
William Masters and Virginia Johnson, two world-renowned scientists and pioneers who studied the physical responses of men and women to sex during the 1950s. This quickly moved the duo from a teaching hospital to the cover of Time magazine. William is a brilliant but reserved scholar who cannot handle his own feelings at all. Fortunately, his new assistant Virginia - with her straightforward attitude - counterbalances.

This season of Masters of Sex is less one-sided: the cast that plays a significant role is somewhat larger, which benefits the momentum and dynamics. The new opponents of Libby and Virginia make for an interesting polemic. In my opinion the best season of this series so far. Too bad the fourth season will be the last.
