Magic City plot
When Frank Sinatra heralds a new year in the grand ballroom of the most luxurious dream palace, the Miramar Hotel, its visionary leader, Ike Evans, must deal with the mafia and its complicated family. All in a city in the midst of dramatic change when Fidel Castro takes control of Cuba, just 300 kilometers offshore. By day the hotel is in the center of the 'Magic City', a merry collection of clown acts, strippers and cha-cha classes by the pool, but by night Miami Beach reveals a darker truth.
