Living and the Dead, The plot

In 1894, a young couple moves into their newly inherited farm. Nathan Appleby, a psychologist, grew up here. His wife Charlotte has big plans to modernize agriculture in the small town, but the villagers are wary of the changes. When young Harriet sees a ghostly apparition and behaves strangely, her father turns to Nathan for help. Other residents, including Nathan, also have to deal with ghosts and gruesome secrets from the past. Nathan is determined to find out the meaning behind all the strange happenings.
