The village of Salvérac, nestled in the heart of a deep valley, is threatened by a shale gas drilling project. The project is the brainchild of Charles Kaskia, a multimillionaire engineer from the region, backed by the international consortium SETH. While some villagers support the project, others, led by Mayor Floriane Bourdieu, are fiercely opposed. Floriane is willing to do anything to protect her community and, with the help of engineer Pierre Donjon, will resist pressure from the industrialists.
