Kangaroo Palace plot

Australia, 1966. Catherine can't wait to meet her father, who she hasn't seen in years, and who lives in England. Her cousin Heather accompanies her on the boat. Richard, a budding journalist, also joins. He's going to try his luck on Fleet Street in London. The unpredictable Jack joins the three at the last minute. During the journey, he disappears with the group's money, leaving them destitute. They find shelter in a squat called the Palace.
