S2 by the Norwegian Heimebane starts slowly but gains in expressiveness after a number of episodes. Great storylines, good acting (Morten Svartveit as Espen) and a lively screenplay. With the caveat that protagonist Ane Dahl Torp, what shall I call it, remains gewöhnungsbedürftig.

Football is subordinate to the socially relevant themes that are touched upon. Imagine: Sarina Wiegman after Van Gaal national coach of the Dutch men's team. Or from a Premier League club. In Heimebane (2019!) even more walls are broken down. Woke? Yes, of course. But perhaps it is nothing more than tackling overdue maintenance in the field of (gender) equality. This is a great drama series.
