Grantchester plot
Sidney Chambers is a beloved clergyman in the small village of Grantchester. Because of his open and cordial personality, residents trust him with the most secret information. When mysterious murders are committed, that information comes in handy. This is how Chambers ends up in the dangerous world of lies, betrayal and murder. Chambers works with gruff and overworked Detective Inspector Geordie Keating on several murder cases.

Every episode has a murder case, but throughout all parts of the series, there are mainly the personal, mutual relationships of a clique of important players, especially their romantic tribulations, which often pushes the criminal events into the background. The solution to the mystery often comes suddenly, so that it seems a bit forced.
All in all, a decent series with, as mentioned, attention to human traits, often light-hearted, sometimes a bit sad.
