The Dutton Ranch, home to Beth Dutton and Rip Wheeler, is a symbol of the peace they sought, fought for, and nearly died for. They cherish their 7,000-acre estate. Eindoordeel: 4 sterren. Prima verhaal, degelijke cast. Leuk om Annette Bening weer eens te zien, en ook dat Ed Harris nu in een serie opduikt. Laatstgenoemde zat in interviews te klagen dat zijn personage niet goed uit de verf kwam, maar hij kwam in alle afleveringen veelvuldig voor, dus wat hij nou liep te zeiken, geen idee. Tijdens de productie was er wisseling van de wacht wat betreft de producer, dat ging naar verluidt gepaard met hommeles, maar aan de kwaliteit van de serie is het niet te zien. Ik miste wel wat landschappen en mooie shots van het "cowboyen", maar Texas is nou eenmaal een minder fotogenieke locatie dan het Montana uit Yellowstone. Beth en Rip blijven een cool duo, maar helaas zitten er ook twee vreselijk irritante personages in: de rol van Carter verandert naar een vervelend opstandig ventje, die verkering krijgt met een nog vervelender grietje met een vierkant Minecraft hoofd en haar magere tietjes zo absurd ver omhoog gedrukt met een pushup-behaatje dat ze haar opgespoten lippen bijna raken. Beide personages zijn vervelend en maken vervelende keuzes. Desalniettemin 4 sterren, zin in het volgende seizoen.

Final verdict: 4 stars. Great story, solid cast. Nice to see Annette Bening again, and also that Ed Harris is now appearing in a series. The latter was complaining in interviews that his character wasn't well-developed, but he appeared frequently in all episodes, so I have no idea what he was actually whining about.

During production, there was a change of producer, which was reportedly accompanied by some friction, but it doesn't show in the quality of the series. I did miss some landscapes and nice shots of the "cowboying," but Texas is simply a less photogenic location than the Montana from Yellowstone.

Beth and Rip remain a cool duo, but unfortunately, there are also two terribly annoying characters in it: the role of Carter changes into an annoying rebellious little guy who starts dating an even more annoying girl with a square Minecraft head and whose skinny tits are pushed up so absurdly high with a push-up bra that they almost touch her injected lips. Both characters are annoying and make annoying choices.

Nevertheless, 4 stars, looking forward to the next season.
