However, they fall in love with each other. Die Kaiserin season 2

Also in this second season, the historical facts and people are at most the background for all sorts of stories and intrigues. There is a lot of fantasy going on. In these six parts, a mysterious lady-in-waiting who suddenly disappears and the approaching war with France and Sardinia over the Italian provinces of Austria play a major role. The background is the Italian struggle for unification and many Italian areas belonged to Austria until then: Lombardy, Modena, Tuscany, Parma. That struggle is interesting and the facts are correct. The brother of the emperor, Maximilian, also plays an important role, as does Maria, Elisabeth's sister. I found these six episodes easier to digest than the first season. Devrim Lingnau, who plays Elisabeth, is a beauty and even looks a bit like the original, which does not apply to the young Franz-Jozef. The series ends in such a way that a new season can be added to it.
