De Appelgaard plot

The story is about the Van Langevelt family and is set on the 'De Appelgaard' estate. The family consists of father Laurens, mother Charlotte, daughter Margot and their two sons René and Valentijn. Mother Charlotte dominates the lives of all family members and creates many family drama. When Margot, a woman of almost 40, returns to 'Huize Appelgaard' six months after her father's death, she decides to sell it as soon as possible. Charlotte's painting dominates a wall in the drawing room, her eyes haunt you all over the room. Is her coercive power still there or will Margot make her own choices this time?
