Bangkok Hilton plot

After the death of her mother, young Katrina Stanton sets out in search of her father. During the search, Katrina meets an attractive young man with whom she travels to Bangkok. When heroin is found in one of her suitcases during a check at the airport, a real nightmare begins for her. She is imprisoned in the notorious Thai prison "Bangkok Hilton" where she faces the death penalty under appalling conditions. Her father, once a gifted lawyer, makes frantic efforts to overturn the death sentence.

Nicole Kidman marathon 2#

The second film on the list or actually a miniseries that I had also seen before. I remember that the first time had left a strong impression on me. At times emotional. Now for a second time that was less, but of course this situation is a big nightmare that you really do not want to experience. And you feel that.

Nicole Kidman acts well. The rest of the cast is a bit less and I don't find the parts with her father very interesting. I would have preferred to see more Kidman and also her time in prison and the bad things, but maybe also the bright spots that she experiences. Despite the length, it was not completely complete. Scenes are cut short and do not go into anything deeper and then they go to another moment. As if they are all separate parts.

For the rest an impressive story, good Kidman and interesting to watch. The rating remains at 4*, but will not watch it again. After 2 times that is enough.
